COSPE Egypt is part of COSPE , a non-profit organization founded in Italy in 1983 operating in the field of international cooperation and solidarity and promoting intercultural dialogue, fair, sustainable development and human rights .
COSPE operates in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, Mediterranean and Middle East, with more than 80 projects in 30 countries worldwide promoting economic, environmental and social development , supporting farming, craft and service industries through training, technical assistance and credit funds, with special regards to income generating activities aimed towards women’s associations, youth groups and local development organizations.
COSPE main fields of action are Human Rights, Income Generating Activities and Employment, Gender Policies and Equal Opportunities, Environment and Sustainable Development, Rehabilitation Aid and Support to Refugees and Asylum Seekers, Communication and Mass Media, Intercultural Dialogue, Anti-Racism Awareness and Development Education.
COSPE works on educational programs and believes in the right to education for all, equal opportunities for women and vulnerable groups.
Throughout Europe, COSPE is very active in the fields of anti-racism awareness, intercultural dialogue, and educational activities for citizens from ethnic minorities and refugees.
COSPE is a member of internationally recognized organizations and networks such as SOLIDAR , ENAR (European Network against Racism), More Colour in the Media , TRANSFAIR ; it has signed a Framework Partnership Agreement with ECHO (European Commission Humanitarian Office) and has been accredited to the Conference of the Parties of the CCD (Convention to Combat Desertification) .

In Egypt , COSPE is present since 1998 operating in the mainstream of the Marketing Link Program through different projects aimed to support vulnerable groups, mainly women, youth and local associations, to generate an income from craft and food processing activities and to market their products on the local, national and international markets.
Moreover, COSPE Egypt is involved in Community Development projects assisting local CDAs’ through capacity building, institutional support, educational programs, vocational training, environment awareness, income generating and socio-cultural activities for women, youth, children and local development associations. Organic Agriculture, Fair Trade markets and Food-processing are also part of COSPE Egypt development objectives and technical assistance input.
