Studies, campaigns and other activities to involve both authorities and civil society into an effective participation in facing the environmental problems

Severe environmental problems are some of the challenges Abu Al Nomros faces: difficulties in the solid waste management and garbage collection, polluted water and lack in sanitation facilities.

The project aims at raising awareness among the population, developing capacities among the leaders and impacting the current situation, involving an effective participation of both the local authorities and the civil society.

The implemented activities include:

  • Studies
  • Campaigns in the schools and for the population
  • Cleaning up of the main streets
  • Development of strategies with a positive environmental impact on the related professions: plastic recyclers and sewage carriers
  • Production of information materials (posters, flyers, movie).
