After the 25th of January, many youth groups in Cairo and in Egypt started cleaning up and beautification campaigns in all streets and in their neighbourhoods. They all have a facebook account and manage to gather hundreds of volunteers willing to show how they take care of their country. read more »

On Friday, June 11, 10am–7pm, the district of Sharabeya hosted another environmental campaign, moving forward in the upgrading process of the Mubarak Garden. The event was organised by COSPE’s Northern Cairo Project in collaboration with different actors from the local community, and represented a contribution to the World Environment Day 2010 worldwide activities. read more »
The week of 18-25 April 2010 was marked by two new events organised under the aegis of COSPE’s “Northern Cairo” Project. On Wednesday the 21st and Friday the 23rd of April, the districts of Sharabia and Sahel, respectively, witnessed the culmination of two parallel environmental campaigns, the first events of this kind to be held in these parts of the city. read more »
