On Thursday the 29th of July at 10.00 AM, Cairo North Project in cooperation with different local actors working to support the participation of communities in the development of their surrounding environment will organize the opening ceremony of the development for Ard Algenina Garden at Zawia District. The upgrade of the garden included cleaning, vegetation planting, rehabilitation of garden platforms, lightening, and painting of front façades of homes. The event is sponsored by eng. Abdul-Aziz Tolba (Zawia District Manager) in cooperation with the Northern Cairo Project and local community organizations and volunteer from the area. The local community have been mobilized, in the past months to participate in the cleaning and developing the garden and the surrounded area. The District also supported and supervised the efforts through the local committee which has been created by the Cairo North project from local associations, religious leaders, local leaders, and educational institutions. All citizens are invited to participate to the event as well as to keep the garden and the surrounded area clean and beauty. This initiative is meant to highlight the importance of community participation and cooperation with local entities in the development of Egyptian communities.
