Preservation and the enhancement of the traditional production of handmade brooms
Amm Ramadan (Uncle Ramdan) has made brooms with natural materials (rice ashes, cotton, cane and wood) since the fifties, emerging as a clever craft maker of this traditional production in Abu el Nomros. COSPE and Abu el Nomros CDA support this production and the usage of just natural materials.
In the framework of the project, Amm Ramadan is also training other men to revive and diffuse his knowledge and expertise.
